Hello, everyone!
My name is Lizzie Madjarov and I am honored to serve as the Panhellenic President at the University of Illinois for 2026. Serving my community through this role has helped me grow as both a leader and a person, and I am immensely proud to be a role model for women who are defined by their values, resilience, and heart.
From joining my house freshman year, to being Chapter President, then to serving on the Panhellenic Council, I’ve found genuine friendships and countless opportunities along the way. More than anything else, this journey has taught me the importance of empowering women as a group, not just as individuals. We are so much larger than any one singular member; Panhellenic is infinitely more meaningful because we’re all united under a common purpose: to uplift one another and leave this community better than we found it.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign consists of twenty-two chapters, eighteen of which are National Panhellenic Council Chapters and four Associate Chapters. These chapters are made up of women that walk this campus with grace, making a purposeful impact on our world. These women are knowledgeable, generous, curious, and I’m truly inspired by the talent and ambition they each bring to our community. It makes me so unbelievably proud and emotional to be a part of such a genuine and selfless group of women.
The Panhellenic Council supports the philanthropy of the Circle of Sisterhood. Circle of Sisterhood was founded by sorority women in efforts to remove educational barriers for girls and women facing poverty and oppression. We work rigorously to not only raise awareness, but take tangible action in order to grant women across the world access to the education that will help lift society as a whole. We would love for you to learn more about the amazing work they do and how you can get involved by asking a sister, participating in formal recruitment, or heading straight to the source to give back;
I cannot imagine my life without the experiences I’ve found in Panhellenic, and certainly not without the family it’s brought me. There is no other group I would rather represent because this community has shaped who I am in ways I will spend the rest of my life being grateful for. If there is one thing I hope every woman in this community understands, it is this: you belong here, you matter here, and together, we are capable of creating something meaningful that will last far beyond our time on this campus.
