Reasons to go greek

Hello Illini!

Welcome to the world of Formal Recruitment at the University of Illinois! We could not be happier that you are interested in entering our amazing community. Here you will find valuable information such as how to register for Recruitment, important dates to know, and answers to frequently asked questions. We hope it will be a resource to you throughout the process. But first, why should you join Panhellenic?

It’s hard to sum up the Panhellenic experience in a few short paragraphs. But, it is through the Greek community that our members receive long-term friendships and the confidence to achieve in academic and leadership settings.

Finding a home away from home, as cliché as it sounds, is a heartwarming feeling that so many of us are grateful for finding from Panhellenic. Right away, we were provided with countless opportunities for social enrichment. The Greek community introduces members to people of different backgrounds with different aspirations. These friends have helped us become the best versions of ourselves.

It is here where you will find the brightest and most motivated women at the University of Illinois. This community continues to achieve a GPA higher than that of the overall campus. Our members constitute 25 different majors, and they hold positions in over 200 RSOs on campus. The women of Panhellenic are not only strong, confident leaders, but are equally charismatic and supportive. They will become your role models, cheerleaders, shoulders to lean on, and lifelong friends.

Being a part of the Panhellenic community has shaped the college experiences of so many women and we know it will do the same for you!

Best,

The University of Illinois Panhellenic Council
